Almost like a statement at an Alcholics Annonymous meeting. Best of luck with your recovery.
Hey, welcome anyway.

Welcome, bez. You'll find board opinion roughly divided between sympathy for you Owls and those who feel you deserve everything you get for hiring the Ginger Tosser. I'm still a little uncertain why someone from Bromley Cross would support SW - still, takes all sorts I suppose.

Thanks everyone.

I am not from Bolton naturally, I moved here 3 years ago with my other half.
got to say, love Bolton now :)

Objectively speaking and looking at Megson at Wednesday and ignoring his past, he has achieved some positives at Wednesday already.

1) Our set pieces have vastly improved.
2) The players have upped their tempo and workrate
3) Our scouting network exists (we didn't have one before)

Megson speaks honestly and openly which is a refreshing change from previous Owls managers.

The proof will be in the pudding and how he performs in the transfer window and in the 1st half of next season.

fingers crossed he pulls it out of the bag!

Elsewhere you suggested GM had moved on while we BWFC fans were still obsessed with him. However, it appears to me (admittedly from far away) that we had moved on until GM started castigating the club, the management and, particularly, fans after he got the SW job. This got worse when things did not start out well over there. Certainly I never wished him ill before then.

Aye, I never hated him, though it became clear it was the time to go and he wasn't good enough. However his attitude and obsession since leaving the club have turned vague well wishes and good luck somewhere else into hoping he fails miserably. Man has shown himself to be a shithouse.

Anyway, welcome Bez, and stick around since you have a side interest in Bolton! Will be interesting to hear a more detailed account of what goes on over Hillsbrough way coming from someone who seems a lot more sensible than our own very special envoy to Owlstalk who has sadly departed us yet again.

When you work in an office full of Wednesday fans, you tend to get involved and have a better understanding than your average Nevard on the street
