Hello from the States

Post by pmaherusa » Fri May 13, 2011 2:41 am

Hello! My name is Pat, I'm 20 years old and studying journalism at the University of Maryland in the United States. I became a Bolton fan just before this season because my favorite player, Stuart Holden, got the starting job in the midfield.

I've been intensely following Bolton this entire season, and I'm excited to see how life-long, dedicated Bolton fans go about their business regarding the boys in white.

Can't wait to join in on these discussions and give an American's point of view into the sport and team! :pissed:

I remember going to the Chemists in LA 10 years ago as my wife had her usual holiday tummy. They gave me this:

The colo(u)r alone bunged her up for two days!

Welcome, neighbo(u)r. If you find the American view does not always draw the response it deserves on here - well, that's what thick skins are for.

Believe me, my teams over here in the states are the exact same way. My university's basketball team bears the nickname "the cardiac kids," so I'm all stocked up on Pepto and Aspirin.

The original cardiac kids were the Tar Heels but I think the Crimson Tide now has that name.
