Post by murdoeguy » Sat Mar 02, 2013 6:00 pm

Hi All,

Murdo here..been a Bolton fan for several years now. Though my day job will not allow me to allot more time as I wanted, I've been a big supporter ever since, albeit discreetly :)

Regards mates,
Murdo

East Grinstead uh? I have relatives (by marriage) from those parts... East Grinstead, Nutley, Forest Row, Leatherhead (pillocks, most of 'em, but never mind eh? )

I did it too, which should come as no surprise to people on here. I even drove it 1/2 a mile back to my house. It stalled about 200 yards away and I free wheeled it onto my drive, called the AA out and they came and siphoned the tank. Amazingly it restarted when he put diesel back in. I was very lucky. Had it needed an engine stirp down I would have been charged by my company for the cost.

Diesel in a petrol car for me, and I got lucky in having a real decent old-school mechanic who had a garage on Braford Road. Filled up on Plodder Lane then choked and spluttered as far as
the motorway slip road off Kearsley Island before it all died. Didn't realise what I'd done till he told me and his charges were really fair.

Welcome Murdoe, make yourself at home.
