Sorry for the adverts being more prominent, but I need to generate some funds.
Unfortunately the more in your face they are, the more you get per click.
So you're gonna have to put up with it![Razz :P](./images/smilies/icon_razz.gif)
Unless you all fancy donating a quid each?![Wink ;)](./images/smilies/icon_wink.gif)

Then I must assume that you may wish to purchase real estate in Newmarket (Ontario) and are dissatisfied with the size of your...er...equipment.mofgimmers wrote:I have no problem with it at all.

lol, you need to send 1 million of them to my offshore account ![Wink ;)](./images/smilies/icon_wink.gif)
I am gutted to see the ad's myself, but I have spent too much of my own money keeping the site going :S
If every member who posted on a regular basis was to donate £1 a year then it would definitely help, but people wouldn't and I don't expect them to. So unfortunately it's the ad's![Sad :(](./images/smilies/icon_sad.gif)

I seriously would donate, honestly I would, if it helped keep these adverts away, that's not a dig mate in any way at all! I'm sure it's as much a time expense as it is monetary and I wouldn't have the know-how, nor the patience to do it myself. It's just that I've gotten used to going on to other clubs' forums, getting pop-up messages and the like and thinking "Thank god 'ours' don't have these" and almost (quite sadly) feel a bit of pride in that ![Crying or Very sad ](./images/smilies/icon_cry.gif)

"I've got the ball now. It's a bit worn, but I've got it"
Tell me about it boris, I once said that I'd never have adverts on this site, so I am well gutted.
The cost of the site has come down recently, but it's just the constant amount I've had to pay over the years that's just got a bit silly now.
It's £15 a month, so over a year that's £180. People in the past have been great in helping contribute, but that was over a few years ago now so I've had to pay that for 2 - 3years which also included months where it could stretch to £30 a month.
It is a simple fact that if 50 members donated £2 for the year that would make my life a whole lot easier. I've even thought of doing somewhere where you could pay to get rid of the adverts, but that's almost like selling something to people.
I don't want to seem like I'm trying to guilt or push people in to paying for it. If I did have 50 people who were willing to donate £2 because they wanted to I'd be more than happy to take the adverts off, infact I've already had somebody message me willing to donate. I really appreciate that, but I don't want only a few people to give me money because I'd feel bad for them.
These ad's might might not even bring any revenue in, but I have to give it a go :S

Come off it, Kev. No one expects you to be out of pocket for running this asylum. Bloody hell, mate, even if only a few can donate it's still that much of your own income saved. I wouldn't like you to make it a paid membership but surely with the number of active members 'we' have it is possible to rake up enough dosh to pay the hosting and registration costs?
