Site update.

Post by CrazyHorse » Mon Sep 17, 2007 12:00 pm

Just to let everyone know, we've had one or two imposters posing as other site members in the last 24 hours.
We think we've found them all, but apologies if there is anything on the site that shouldn't be and if you see something let me or any of the other mods know and we can sort it out.

Mine wasn't, but something equally simple. Changed now and lesson learned. You don't really expect ID hacking on a football forum, at least I didn't.

Actually mine was 'bolton' but no longer. What tipped you off?
Fortunately no one in the right mind would want to steal my identity!

Actually I don't know what happened - was something stupid, vulgar, inane, etc published in your name? Or a NWS avatar added?

Well, a dozen posts appeared before my eyes whilst I was online that I knew I hadn't sent. Someone trying to be smart, abusive and offensive. Played around with my profile too. Hopefully sorted now.

You should have left it alone for a couple of days and blown by Batman on the all time post list, Mr. Immortal!

Someone hacked on as me and posted this:
Alonso - Has looked really effective, and is looking better and better each game. His passing ability is essential to our midfield, and can be a match winner should he get on the same page as Anelka.

Verdict - left midfield.
:(

interesting - my password is a combo of alpha and numeric characters. They wouldn't have guessed it - If the site has been hacked, they used some toolsets to get through.......
