Totally for it. I really can't stand reading messages where people type like this:

"YEA BT DIOUF IS 4RM LIVAPOOL SO EZ NOT THAT GUD LOL!!!!!11'

However, the vast majority of people on here can spell and use good grammar, so we might not need one.

Think its a good thing to have - altho is there an option where people can ignore the spellchecker if required?

It may actually help youngmc articulate his posts  :D

yeah it could get annoying, so maybe put it in with an option to switch off for each user....
Nay-Nay: so good they named me twice

sounds ok, but then the ppl that you're targeting with this (ie the ones who's posts u cant understand) aren't likely to use it anyway so may be pointless :conf:

Personally it would annoy the crap out of me, but some people could definately gain from it ;)

I get stuck on the odd word from time to time, so installed a word check extention onto firefox, which is ace. You just highlight the word you think you have mispelled, right click and goto dictionary_ it then checks it with a online dictionary blah blah.

Side note: Firefox is ace :)

If you can apply it to the illiterate people on this forum then I'm all for it.

Saves me having to actively ignore text speak rather than trying to read it.

Yep - certainly would. Anything that makes the job easier should be applauded. And it also allows us to deal with any pirks. :conf:
