What Happened?

Tell us how to make the site a better place, and we'll pretend the idea was ours all along.....

I thought swine flu had hit the server for a few hours. I even looked at Bolton banter for my fix.

Oh good, not just me then. I thought I'd broken the internet.

That it's going to lose its mind
Be more kind, my friends, try to be more kind.

I was out so didn't know what happened, but was probably this as it's the server we reside on:

An issue was identified with the server7.xenserve.com server at 14:27:05 (GMT) May 05, 2009. 34SP.com engineers have been notified and are presently looking into this problem. Further updates will be posted by our support team, should the problem require extended analysis/correction.

Update 14:52 (GMT): A engineer has been dispatched to look into this server as it is not responding to our remote access.

Update: 19:30 The server has now been completely restored. The failure related to bad RAM in the server. Following the installation of new RAM, we also had to run a full disk check in order to ensure data integrity. Everything checked out and all services should now be back online.

I thought the Work Net Nazis had finally cottoned on to this being one of the few message boards that slips through their firewall. Phew!
