Posting a picture
I am sure this has been asked before but can anyone give me some help on how to post a picture/image. I found this on the FAQ:
"Images can indeed be shown in your posts. However, there is no facility at present for uploading images directly to this board. Therefore you must link to an image stored on a publicly accessible web server, e.g. http://www.some-unknown-place.net/my-picture.gif. You cannot link to pictures stored on your own PC (unless it is a publicly accessible server) nor to images stored behind authentication mechanisms such as Hotmail or Yahoo mailboxes, password-protected sites, etc. To display the image use either the BBCode [img] tag or appropriate HTML (if allowed)."
I am not the greatest computer expert and am not sure what the difference is with a jpg, gif, BBcode or HTML.
If anyone has the time and inclination to help it would be much appreciated or if you could point me in the right direction.
Posting Pictures for Dummies would be great for me.
Many thanks

Re: Posting a picture
If I want to post a pic from my own documents rather than from a website - is there a way I can do it without opening an imageshack account or somesuch?

no - you'd have to host it somewhere online...Harry Genshaw wrote:If I want to post a pic from my own documents rather than from a website - is there a way I can do it without opening an imageshack account or somesuch?

Lets not go down that route Mrs!

If you want to transfer a facebook photo right click on it and click copy image location, then on here click the image button and insert the copied location between the two [img] brackets [img]
