I am a rocket scientist, but I know little about the ins and outs of the internet. Would the inclusion of "O2" in the web page address suggest that the problem is related to the subscriber O2?

Bango are a billing company that O2 have been using for a while, now. For some reason you (and indeed me) have suddenly become caught up in their age-verification scheme. Why? feck knows. Not updated your profile for a while, or something.
Some not very well informed discussion: http://forum.o2.co.uk/viewtopic.php?p=324412" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I have no idea why t'Wanderer has been designated age-restricted, though. When, for example, wanderersways isn't (yet).

We had that problem a while back with a Vodafone business package.

And it classed licensed premises as age restricted. Which is a bit of a problem when trying to communicate within the catering industry.

i'm O2 and still have the problem. Don't see why i should pay £1 to prove i am over 18 - especially as i never use all my monthly credit up so £2.50 extra would go unused.

still seems a bit dodge to me though from the forum links sounds like its genuine...

I thought the age verification page only came up to people habitually trying to gain access to porn sites.

thats the page my o2 phone has come up with. Hubby said it may have classed TW as 'adult' cos there might be something in the http(?) about bad language or something?

anyway had reason to speak to someone at o2 last night about contracts anyway and they assured me it was a problem they were trying to fix and it would all be normal with 12-24 hours (its not yet)

Is it not because a forum, could be considered a 'chat room'?

I'm getting it too, by the way

I have a feeling it's going to be because of the content.

God knows what it see's ass offensive, maybe too many references to Megson's name?

Probably because their supporters are all pretty juvenile... perhaps not
