So that migration to the new server seemed to go well and the site seems to be a lot faster, some people are having cache issues but they should resolve themselves soon.

People offered their support so I have put a donation button on the site, I'll keep it up there for a week or so as I don't want it in the way of people using the site.

If it's there constantly I'd predict people would pretty much forget about it, whereas if left for a week as Keveh says and then put up sporadically, say at the start of a season (or when funds required), I think that might be more effective in the long run.

Yeah, it's pretty much what LLS said, I think that we've only ever had one up previously before (maybe twice) in the 8 or so years that I've been running it.

If it's there all the time it would get ignored and I only want to put it up when needs be. Last time I asked if people could help, this time people have offered to help, so it's just as and when.

Yeah I have that as well for some reason, but with me it only turns red when there is a new reply but it takes me to an old post rather than the most up to date one.

I have the same problem as Tango. On my home PC I get this "Site down for maintenance", but at work, the forum loads up OK.

Any idea what I need to do with my home PC?

Me too. I have a bookmark that shows the "..down for maintenance." message but when I do a Google search I can get in.
