Yeah - but only in what they described to me once as a "tin-pot" cup.
Nice to see the achieve the Tinpot Treble. Makes them feel important.

Re: Tonight's Football
If Terry signs for someone else will they still be calling him a one club man like I heard on the radio about Steven Gerrard. I shouted at the radio "What about LA Galaxy you fecking idiot" but they didn't seem to hear me.
Do not trust atoms. They make up everything.

They got it right, but masterclass is a bit extreme. They parked the bus against an u23 team

Re: Tonight's Football
Thought Ajax were v poor true. Absolute text book display of shape, discipline, when to press, aggression from United though. So many bus parkers get the aggression wrong one way or the other.
Though I'm going to enjoy pointing out to various mates how they seemed pretty keen to nice person it forward as soon as possible with some "long passes".

Re: Tonight's Football
He's basically turned United into Pulis' Stoke team, but with £600m worth of players.
For his apparent managerial ability and the level of players he's able to sign, they SHOULD be winning these things, but with plenty more exciting football.

F*cking love Cup Final day. Gaz v Rob. Went out to Lidl earlier and Islington is absolute carnage.

Re: Tonight's Football
Cracking game so far. Arsenal's passing and possesion is terrific; like La Liga of the nineties but with intent to score added. Chelsea being a bit wallop at times relying on Diego Costa winning it; mind, he's well capable of that, but they're more into the game now. Gaza having a solid game in defence.Could go either way.

Well I missed the first 5 minutes. Then went to put the kettle on around 76 minutes at 1-0, only to return to find it was 2-1...

Re: Tonight's Football
Best cup final I've seen in years. Arsenal were brilliant that first 45 minutes. Sanchez, Ozil, Welbeck were outstanding. The back 4 did their bit in the 2nd.
Brave refereeing on the Moses decision and absolutely spot on

Re: Tonight's Football
As said, cracking game and a fair result. Thought Alonso had a good game, Ruis never stopped trying, Gaza saved a couple of almost goals etc, but it was a total team performance from Arsenal that took the day. Enjoyable football.

Absolutely smashing game and great to see cheating punished on the big stage.
Both teams played their part but Arsenal were tremendous in that first half. Enjoyed seeing Holding getting on Costa's face in the first half though Costa got the better of him a couple of times.

Re: Tonight's Football
Anyone see the Play-Off final? I'm hearing that it was a bit drab, however, it did include one of the least explicable open-goal misses of the season. Anyone?

About 1 min 45 in, watch the reply from behind the goal.

Re: Tonight's Football
To be fair you can sort of see why he missed it. Came fast and was at a slightly awkward height. Perhaps also he didn't see it that well. I mean, still a hugely embarrassing miss though.
Thought the game was plagued by its value. Neither side opened up really 2nd half. Both not wanting to lose. Fascinating game in spite of the way it was played for large parts of it.
Struggling to see many players in either side who you could confidently say would cut it in the premiership.

Re: Tonight's Football
Well done to the England U20's on reaching the U20 WC Final. Can't wait for it all to be coached out of them.
Who'd have thought an England team would have had four double-barrelled names in the starting XI? Can't wait for the next generation when they need to add another name or two...
