Iceland did one and got their reward. We'd likely benefit from unsettling their defence with a couple of long shots.

Were trying to walk it in by doing nuanced passes. Pretty at times but this has got shades of Oxford United final about it. Poor show, few chances and frustrating all round.

The problem is that not unlike Bolton we spend years telling these players how good they are instead of properly hammering them that to succeed you have to want it and have to work. They are too soft. They aren’t hardened. They don’t want it enough. Southgate isn’t good enough. But all of this fundamentally comes back to this nonsense modern attitude. Watch the Wrexham documentary and Parky isn’t going in and soft soaping. He’s at them. Urging them to work harder tells it as it is.
