Sunderland will be top of the league before you kick off.

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

not at all clear cut.
Totally, I just think the mackems are a little bit too optimistic and might end up having their hearts sunk.
What exactly are you basing this on?
You, and the Sunderland fans I hear on the radio.
My "optimism" is nothing more than playful exuberance, I fear the worst for SAFC, as I always do. We'll be fighting relegation. Without doubt.

The fans you hear on the radio probably believe we are going to sign Scholes, Forlan and Van Nistelrooy and on the whole, are a very small majority of fans.

The level headed amongst us know that our last 2 (3) Premiership seasons show us to be a poor side, and deservedly so. We'll get hammered against Spurs. We're notoriously slow starters (and finishers before any cheeky kernt says anything)

none of the other sunderland fans have computers or electricity for that matter, so he's the only one on the interweb, so we let him come on here. It's like care in the community, we even have a tame Liverpool fan.

Hello, ladyAmz,

If you continue to use the dreaded text-speak on this forum you will undoubtedly be lambasted day in and day out. Most contributors to these fora are reasonably sane people but, by the same token, most contributors tend to see red when confronted with such gobbledegook. I politely ask that you refrain from using it. Ta.

Other than that, welcome aboard. I look forward to reading your sensibly typed input.

As for you, Nozza, I don't really care where you finish provided that it's below us. Good luck.

I just cant see Sunderland having a chance this season really... Soo many teams have improved their squads over the summer. Even last year's poor teams are looking a hell of a lot stronger (Newcastle, Fulham etc).

It might be another bad one...

I reckon we'll finish bottom, with 11 points. Keane will be sacked by Christmas, but we will win the FA Cup and League Cup. And then do a Leeds.

Which lets face it, most people seem to want...

Not true, Nozza. There's many on here who would much rather see West Ham, Newcastle United and Manchester City finish below you (to name but three!)

I don't really care. All I want is for Sunderland to finish below Bolton.

personally I'd like to see Everton suffer too....I seem to remember being relegated on goal difference once over when they scored a late goal to rescue their sorry asses.

It would give me so much joy to see Everton go down. I can see Kenright's miserable face right now. Rather them than Man City, who at least are not United.

It was aimed at the general public, rather than this board in specific.

New West Ham, us. Gerrin.
