Joey Barton - Humble as ever

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

Joey Barton - Humble as ever

Post by Worthy4England » Thu Oct 04, 2007 9:08 am

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/footbal ... 025982.stm

I read this and it made me laugh a lot....apparently the good form at Citeh isn't down to the finer points of getting SGE as Manager and only peripherally anything to do with some major investment in the Club. No - it's all down to Joey Barton - which should see Barcodes well placed for a top 4 finish when he's fully recovered.....

:-)

"The big thing about Newcastle is there is only Newcastle in Newcastle. Newcastle could be a big side and turn it from a big four into a big five."

Anyone? :conf:

Apparently he also stated Father Xmas is real and the bogie man lives in his wardrobe.

It's just a fumbling attempt at saying that Newcastle is a one club city, unlike Manchester or Liverpool, for example (although Liverpool is soon to be a one club city, teehee)

I think he's probably right about keeping City up. He carried that team for the first half of the season, and the defence did the rest. It seems strange that he looking for some sort of praise for this; isn't this what he's supposed to do?

Perhaps instead of I Did Shit, Here's My Book his autobiography will be entitled I Did My Job, Where's my Praise?

The Beeb were helpful enough to print his address in Widnes, happy to say I'll be there throwing eggs at his windows as it turns out he lives round the corner from the missus' parents

Was going to say make sure it's his and not one of his relatives - then I remembered they're all locked up so no matter....

Barton's court date is on the 22nd Nov 2007, you know the one, for twxtting his teammate at that club he did so much for!

Which means he should just about have recovered from his injury, just in time to get locked up :D
