Sepp Blatter is a prick, thread #43541243457

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

What a tit

Fifa president Sepp Blatter has called for lifetime bans and criminal prosecutions for players guilty of making dangerous tackles.

He has demanded a "zero tolerance" policy ahead of the International Board's weekend meeting at Gleneagles.

Blatter told The Times: "Dangerous tackling is one of the most important issues in football at the moment.

"Therefore players who do this kind of thing intentionally should be banned from the game."

He added: "Attacking somebody is criminal, whether it happens on a football pitch or elsewhere. It is a crime and should be treated as such."
I repeat, what a tit.

Yes he is a tit. Yet he raises an interesting point. How can you prove if a bad tackle is intentional or not?

Thought you just waited for the player to release their autobigraphy.

How is a bad tackle any worse than punching somebody in the face? Would a player get banned for life for having a spat and lashing out during a tussle? This is just some fat, media whore trying to be contraversial

T*t

Further quote from Blatter...

"Before, the problem was tackling from behind, but now players are doing it from the front and from the side. This is a matter we will discuss this weekend.

"We will not only make recommendations to the referees, we will instruct them to be stronger against this violence."

He wants to ban all tackling. How long before its a non-contact sport?

Broken legs are a part of the game.

Deal with it!

Forget tackles unless it's Keane on Haaland (and admitted) - I'd happily see Thatcher with a lengthy ban though.

Persistent dangerous tackles need dealing with, but a lifetime ban for one?

Blatter obviously never played against the Lancastrian from Little Hulton in the Saturday League. Dangerous tackles is it? Twas more like GBH in a football strip.

Yes, yes, yes, this is all well and good but I still don't have an answer to the question: Is Blatter's wife called Fanny? :conf:

At least he's gone and said FIFA will never endorse Rangers and Celtic playing in England. Still a cock though.

King Tit, though I agree with his views on Rangers and Celtic.

Now he's scrapping trials for goal line technology, and wants an extra linesman to stand behind the goal...
