Football Economics Pompey Style

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

9th?? Thats their highest finish after spending that??

feck it, I might even enjoy the championship now.

Money is ruining football, what happened to 'sport' and having a laugh with friends and family??
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Well their owner's dad is a billionaire.

...and they're about to win the FA cup.

It's like this myth of 'Arry being a top manager that the meeejaaarrrrr perpetuate.

Would like to see him produce that team without spending nigh on £100 million squid.

Corrupt shithouse.

But being fair, many have had that to spend and not done as well as Redknapp!

Redknapp is a candidate for most over-rated manager in history of football.

How dare you fatshaft. Thats tantamount to treason.

Good ole 'arry Redknapp was the manager of West Ham. All good Englishman know that makes him as sacred as the Magna Carta, The Crown Jewels, The Queen Mum (when she was alive), Cricket on the village green, pints of warm ale, a cup of tea, Fish and Chips for supper....

He single handdly won the world cup, y'know? (or was that someone else, I forget...)

Not sure I agree with "Over-rated".

He's a decent manager who hasn't been given a chance with a top top club.

So I don't necessarily think "over-rated" is accurate.

Perhaps "over-hyped". But then again that could apply to a lot including Sam Allardyce.

The job Redknapp did with Pompey (first time round) was exceptional really.
