Suit yourself. Exciting by our standards. We are palying Ajax on Sunday and i am looking forward to seeing the new lads all in the same line up. Rumour is we ar also chasing a big (6,7) croat lad from valencia called Zigic, looks magic on the youtube, will flip if we get him.
Little tip for you friend. NEVER EVER base an opinion on ANY player by virtue of viewing a few clips of them on Youtube. Seeing as said clips that you will have viewed are probably highlights compilations, it really isnt the fairest indicator of a players quality. A few of us made the same mistake with a fella called Daniel Braaten. Never again.madmarx wrote:clips i have seen indicate ability with both feet (right more often than not but odd scorcher with the left) good controlled header of the ball, big enough to mix it, quick enough to compete, what more do we want? There are those of us that have not only an interest in what supporters of other sides have to say, but also the capacity to engage with them. That any of that might be beyond the limit of your capabilities is of little consequence to the rest of us. Your parochial mind does not speak on behalf of the forum. If you can't handle conversation with fans of other teams then just butt out, eh? Some of us are interested in what they have to say.

I have to say it looks slightly contradictory that you talk about moving on from the days of wannabees and those looking for a final payday, when you've just signed Diouf & Chimbonda, who could possibly fall in to either or both categories.

So whats your reasoning for not liking him then, i agree youtube is not the best recommendation (although ability netting the ball is fairly easy to discern) but what exhaustive dossier do you have to say he is no good. genuinely interested like.warthog wrote:madmarx wrote:warthog wrote:madmarx wrote:warthog wrote:

We were interested in him a couple of seasons ago. Sam Allardyce and Harry Redknapp (who was also in for him) went to watch him together. Check out 'Arry's comments.madmarx wrote:So whats your reasoning for not liking him then, i agree youtube is not the best recommendation (although ability netting the ball is fairly easy to discern) but what exhaustive dossier do you have to say he is no good. genuinely interested like.

diouf plays like he's going through the motions half the time, both him and chimbonda are all about the money and feck all elseDiouf particularly is a shadow of the player that won African player of the year. He's more intersted in being 'gangsta'.madmarx wrote:communistworkethic wrote:I have to say it looks slightly contradictory that you talk about moving on from the days of wannabees and those looking for a final payday, when you've just signed Diouf & Chimbonda, who could possibly fall in to either or both categories.

cant find Redknaps comments, just a load of stuff on the Villa board about thier lot w*nking over him as well. Seems harry was in fro him last season before he went to valencia. Mind i would NOT, trust any statement that came out of the mouth of harry the spiv, if he said lovley day i would put my brolly up, hes a s*it house that will spoil all deals he can not line his pockets from (allegedly)warthog wrote:We were interested in him a couple of seasons ago. He wants to watch it round here then cos we have proper ones of them and flashing it off doesnt go down well. Wouldnt be the first player to feel it best to "leave the area"communistworkethic wrote:diouf plays like he's going through the motions half the time, both him and chimbonda are all about the money and feck all elseDiouf particularly is a shadow of the player that won African player of the year. This view isn't based on the Panorama hatchet job where no-one actually within football clubs said or did anything controversial or incriminating, is it?madmarx wrote:cant find Redknaps comments, just a load of stuff on the Villa board about thier lot w*nking over him as well. No its based on his recent dealings with kaboul, never swa the panorama thing. Roy seems to be a bit less than pleased with him. Did you here the "maybe if i ahd taken Younis to a casino at 4o'clock in the morning like a certain other manager" quoteKeeeeeeeBaaaaaaab wrote:This view isn't based on the Panorama hatchet job where no-one actually within football clubs said or did anything controversial or incriminating, is it?madmarx wrote:cant find Redknaps comments, just a load of stuff on the Villa board about thier lot w*nking over him as well.
