You seem a nice chap, but for a newbie you have an alarming tendency to smart-ass, curt, one-liners ... sooooo remininscent of a guy who used to be here who, oddly, sits in thr East Stand.East Lower wrote:Who'd buy him? He's an overrated shithouse who had one good season. Let him and them rot.
How, pray, is Rooney a one-season wonder ?
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

good on rooney. probably will end up at citeh in jan by the sounds of it.
lad is currently earning over 700k per month for image rights alone and 360k per month wage. i was quite staggered at the image rights info that came out today. just goes to show why these guys dont walk away from england as i would guess without england his image rights would be worth 20% of that figure.
not bad for a thick scouser me thinks. i would bet no one on here would not do the same if they were offered a another 40% increase in income guaranteed for 4 years.

Beause presumably you'd have a struggle on your hands getting by on over £1m a month?Big_Girl_Oral_Explosion wrote:good on rooney. probably will end up at citeh in jan by the sounds of it.

all relative. i've yet to see someone turn that sort of increase in any walk of life. those who say they would are liars plain and simple.Bruce Rioja wrote:Beause presumably you'd have a struggle on your hands getting by on over £1m a month?Big_Girl_Oral_Explosion wrote:good on rooney. probably will end up at citeh in jan by the sounds of it.

True enough, but it always begs the question - and just what the feck are you going to do with it? Good timing too, on the day that the defence cuts have been announced. Could Fergie have chosen today for effect? Hmmm!Big_Girl_Oral_Explosion wrote:all relative. i've yet to see someone turn that sort of increase in any walk of life. those who say they would are liars plain and simple.

Had the happy good fortune to come back on the train tonight with a bunch of fully paid up, soapless and brain-dead FRS...
singing - one fat scouser... there's only...
and other songs of dejection, rejection and being a nice person (cos I can't think of another 'ection')...
Really hope it doesn't make them suicidal...

It is true. In the daily mailhisroyalgingerness wrote:Apparently a banner tonight read "Colleen forgave you, Wayne. We won't"

Would it be wrong of me to say I admire the way Ferguson and the Club have dealt with this? All speculation has been killed off and now Rooney will have to go where United say and not where he wants which gives United the control again. Forget who's involved here, the politics and power shifting is impressive to watch.
It would indeed seem true that no one player is bigger than United.

I don't think you would. Whatever you think of SAF - he has built himself a position that must be the envy of other managers - in the face of unpopular owners he hasn't gone down the path of blaming them - and he has established such a presence for himself that he can offload BOTH Tevez and Ronaldo - and then Rooney without splashing mega cash to replace them - and still come up (in the manU fans' eyes) smelling of roses...
that press conference he gave pretty much killed off rooney in a decisive, ruthless way whilst sounding humble, forgiving and invoking in some people the idea that SAF is a wounded party - like a father who's son rejects his love...
that takes some doing...
