Re: Denmark v England
Milner had a good second half, when he stayed wider. In the first half, he was drifting in a lot and it gave no option down the left. Ashley Cole wasn't making the forward runs due to Denmark having an extra man there.
I'd be interested to see what Wilshere could do with, say, Gerrard, or that mythical (and probably nowhere near as good as we'll think) creature A Fit Hargreaves in the centre with him.

Re: Denmark v England
The answer to us playing well is simple: Seven subs allowed. It was a decent performance against a decent side, but Denmark are no Germany. Cahill needs and deserves a bit more exposure at this level, probably won't get it though, and I'd find a place for Parker. Young, as said, made a difference and I thought Bent played prety well. Milner never stopped running and his long crossfield ball was just a couple of feet away from being sensational, but some of our build-up play is still a bit ponderous and pedictable. All said, there was an urgency and commitment second half that's been missing for a while and a win counts for much, even in friendlies.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

And I agree with you too so theres a real wind of change blowing (unless its worthy's curry )Lord Kangana wrote:I had to laugh at my dad and my mate, as they kept up a constant commentary on Johnson's shiteness (along the lines of is he the best we've got). Then had to shut up when he made the goal.
But all in all, yes he's rubbish. Pleased with Wilshere though. I hope Sturridge was watching. And the top four managers. And I thought Milner was pretty good, which makes a change for me.

Although I can see Eriksen moving somewhere for big money fairly soon, Ajax aren't known to hold on to their best players for too long. Come on Gudni, where are all these secret Icelandic superstars you were going to give us a heads up on while you work over there?!

Re: Denmark v England
i thought it a pretty decent friendly. Johnson is shit although Poulsen, the Danish left back was absolutely shocking!
Eriksen played his best international game so far, but boy did he have loads of space. He's been mediocre at best for Denmark so far, but the lad is 18, so I'm sure he'll get there in the end.
He'll go to a fancier club than Bolton in a year or so.
No other Danes look promising and within our reach. Maybe Bjelland, who's a central defender. Not the finished package though.

Well, I know as fans we can sometimes lose focus, but he's at Ajax now, so ......Trotski wrote:i thought it a pretty decent friendly. Johnson is shit although Poulsen, the Danish left back was absolutely shocking!

Utter nonsense that is - mercury's not allowed anymore. Not in a friendly anyway.
