West Ham are complete failures! Let's all laugh at 'em!

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

I don't want Sam to take over. He'd probably get them up and stabilise them.

Having said that, he could end up making the fans implode at his pragmatism.

Hmmmm.

I think he would do exactly as you say. The fans won't be happy though and neither will the West Ham supporting press. Pressure will be put on the team, Big Sam will get the axe and they will bring in an exciting manager would will be totally unsuitable for the players Big Sam assembled, and the vicious cycle will continue.

I have to do a 100yr anniversary service next week for our church in Chadwell Heath - West Ham heartland...

I'm going to do a section about what life was like in 1911...

ooh - look - I found the 1911 first division league table! (OK - so I've picked 1911/12 rather than 1910/11 for a very good reason!!)

Image

no sign of west ham at all......

to cheer them up, I also found this which I will play on the big screen...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UyipQIo3euU

anyone work out what the toss is going on??? is that goalie who rushes into shot wearing a flat cap???

I love the hat-waving - we should bring that back - far superior to a wanky club anthem!!

Passed that church last week on my way to Bonzer's farm shop.
West Ham not in evidence, Woolwich Arse and even poor old Oldham. Interesting point is that the points seem rather low then I remembered in those days it was two points for a win. 8)

I understand that Liverpool were invited to represent us in Europe however.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

I'm not happy. There is a genuine chance he'll do well. I was hoping for Paulo Di Canio, or better Neil Warnock.

I think he will do alright but it will be offset by the unhappy fans, and the press will build up the pressure. West Ham might not be a big club but one would never guess by the amount of press they receive. It will be a rocky road.

I'd love to read how Martin Samuels will justify this.

I bet his article will start with some shite like "reality finally catches up with the West Ham dream". Or some other guff, despite them playing shite neo-relegation football for bloody years now.

Sam will get them results - no doubt about it but I see him as being very similar in philosophy to Peter Reid. Only one way of playing is effective (Big man up top, every set piece launched into the box, break the oppositions rhythm etc). It's when it doesn't work he seemed lost for alternatives. When it did work it led to a lot of very dull (if ultimately successful) matches.

I forsee exactly the same disaster as it was at Newcastle. A man who knows exactly what he's doing getting hounded out by a bunch of tossers that don't. At least I expect Gold & Sullivan will show that they have more backbone (and more of a clue) than Ashley.
May the bridges I burn light your way

West Ham fan here.

A chap on our forum, http://www.westhamonline.net" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;, posted this link as he was looking for some sensible opinion regarding Allardyce. He then stumbles across this topic about West Ham.

152 pages about West Ham starting from 2006??? Reading a lot of it, most of the content is embarrasing. Why all the hatred? Do you not have any rivals to play with?

Maybe there's just over 152 pages worth of stuff to laugh at you about...
