Football Stadium Survey - Bolton Viewpoint!!!

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

Football Stadium Survey - Bolton Viewpoint!!!

Post by bob2k3161190 » Sun Sep 25, 2011 5:00 pm

Hi everyone,

My name is Bob Bridges and I am a 3rd year architecture student at Oxford Brookes University. I have lived in Preston all my life but I am actually a lifelong Hull City fan, so I'm sure we share an admiration for the one and only Phil Brown!!!

For my dissertation I am investigating football stadium architecture. I have created a quick survey, it takes about 10-15 minutes to complete, and I would be very grateful if some of you could complete it. Hopefully it should be quite interesting and enjoyable for all you die hard football fans out there!

This is the link for the survey:

https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/JQZHK9M" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

For me, the Reebok Stadium is a unique and bold stadium that I have always liked. I have only been there once but my opinion of it was tainted when the game got postposned for a waterlogged pitch at half time! It would be really good for me to get your thoughts about your stadium and how it affects your overall experience.

I would be very grateful for any of you that can spare a few moments of your time to help me out with this survey which, like I said earlier, should hopefully be quite interesting to complete. Your opinions will be appreciated.

Kind Regards,

Bob Bridges

Bolton vs Cardiff FA Cup December 1999 was called off due to a waterlogged pitch. Not at half time though.

I remember the one being called off because of an electrical storm - is it that one?

Pre season friendly, they were champions of old old third (whatever that was then). I think.

PNE in a pre season...can't of been McGinlays testimonial when Moyes was in charge of them can it? That played the full game. Its a pre season anyway so I've excused myself for not remembering it.

In fact while we are on it what was the name of the trialist who scored in that testimonial! Sure I have a dvd of it somewhere?

Wasn't McGinlays testimonial. Was about 2000 I would guess.

For some reason I was in the East Upper, and we went to the back of the stand to watch. Clever.

Was not McGinlays testimonial. Black African guy scored, can't remember his name though.

The postponed game V Preston was on a Saturday afternoon. Last pre season game before the start of the season. I would guess it was around 2004 ish.
