Next England Manager

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

Next England Manager

Clearly 'acquitted 'appy 'arry is the favourite, but he has Spurs on a roll & may want/need to focus on that until the summer. So it may be an interim.

That would need to be someone who's available.

Can you imagine Benitez chucking his cap in the ring ?

The prick has never known his limitations.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

After being a proud England supporter for over fifty years I now find that I don't give a shiny shit about the new manager or the team for that matter. For a variety of reasons.

Very sad.
God's country! God's county!
God's town! God's team!!
How can we fail?

COME ON YOU WHITES!!

Same here Zulu, I couldn't care either way if Capello was there or not because when it comes down to it, England are going to do shit and "let the nation down" as usual.

All I can ask is that the new manager actually has some balls and cuts the deadwood out of the squad. It's about time we have a bit of fresh air in the team, it might take a while to settle but I'd rather see some younger players gain experience rather than the older guys who are getting past it trying to last for one more tournament.

We need a low profile semi decent yes man type character in the interim, no one who will rock the boat too much.
So I suggest Ian Holloway as part time caretaker manager. Then twitchy knickers to take over full time after the summer.

The FA of course in their infinite wisdom will probably get Kevin Keegan back. With Harry Redknapp's dog as his assistant.

I can't wait to see Redknapp's unique brand of attacking football:

ie; Lob it up to the big man and everyone else run around him

It begs the question, where has Redknapps "international credentials" sprung from all of a sudden?

Capello a man who has managed at the very top club wise, and won trophies across Europe, is no good.

I know we'll get 'Arry who has won what? An FA cup against Cardiff????

Suddenly he's the saviour....don't quite get it...

Same place as any other manager; he hasn't got any until he's given a chance

He's very good. Exceptional even, apart from not being English so when push comes to shove couldn't care less.

Oh I was forgetting, Portsmouth didn't win every other round of the cup that year did they; they just rucked up for the final and lifted the trophy

He's not the saviour, and as the courts have just proven he isn't a very naughty boy either. But he's the best we've got right now.

The fall from favour will be great to watch though.

i'd go for that, he's never going to knock Barca off their perch so i think he's getting bored of that project.

There aren't any suitable ENGLISH candidates, so we shouldn't be appointing one!

That's a good shout.
But I'm 100% positive the FA will continue with its "the grass is always greener" policy of going for an Englishman then a foreigner then an Englishman.

Redknapp is a suitable English candidate. How come you reckon he not suitable?

Because his record is as average as any. The last time we went for somebody who'd only won 1 cup competition and nothing else, we failed to even qualify for a tournament.
