Re: Megson Watch
I'm desperate for Wolves to go down but even I wouldn't wish Gareth on them....
.....hold on, yes I would, it would be piss funny.
Megson for Wolves! As long as it's after our game at the end of the month though!

Re: Megson Watch
Megson: Leads Owls to 3rd place with a great 'grit' about us and with good players.
Gets sacked
Ugh, i can't wait till we get him back in the future.
When Coyle goes i can see Meggo going to you guys tbh.....no not really, he is too good for Bolton!
In all honesty, i have seen Bolton 5 times this year and i have never seen you play as badly, Coyle is not the man to keep you up! Bet you miss Gary now!

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Re: Megson Watch
im just jesting lads.
but seriously, as an owl from bromley cross i have a lot of mates who are bolton fans - we had a major debate in the flag pub this week about Meggo.
The consensus:
Take out the acrimony towards him, he did shape your team for prem survival and future success.
He turfed out the older players and brought in some young gems and returned you to more successful football then when he arrived

He definitely turfed out the older lads, granted.
Who are these young gems? Cahill? £5m was a gamble on someone who hadn't played many Prem games
More successful? Dubious.

Re: Megson Watch
Just watching Sheff W v PNE, and up pops Nicky Hunt in the Preston defence. When did that happen? Was at PNE v Orient the other week and can't recall ever having seen a poorer side. In fact, they were that shit that I still have my complimentary for PNE v Hartlepool from a couple of weeks thereafter - unused.plymouth wanderer wrote:http://www.newsnow.co.uk/A/477421171?-11201 good laugh

No he fooking didn't. The average age of the squad when he left, was higher than the average age of the squad he took over.Dwight Schrute wrote:He definitely turfed out the older lads, granted.Who are these young gems? Cahill? £5m was a gamble on someone who hadn't played many Prem games
