Liverpool laughing stocks?

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

Firstly, it was on-line. Don't go around thinking I read the Grauniad.

Secondly ... wtf ??? Well, we know where their priorities lie, if we ever doubted it. Are the two tied at the hip, btw ? I mean, they could attend one each.

I know it means wanting Everton to win, but I soooo want to see this lot lose today.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

I remember watching the 1986 cup final between these two. They were then the 2 best sides in England by a country mile. Todays game showed how far they have both fallen since then. 2 poor sides and it took 2 horrendous errors to produce the opening goals. For the lumbersome Carroll to score the winner summed it up for me.

Amazing what can happen in 25 years, isn't it?

I wonder what Roy Hodgson makes of all this?

Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

£8m on Rasmus Elm. Another example of overspending. 10 goals in 17 appearances isn't a bad return for a midfielder but when you consider that he's a focal point of the team and that he's playing in the Eredivisie it doesn't sound all that impressive. They must have money to piss away.

I've seen various reports with different sums of money (£8m is at the upper end of those). Can't say I watch any Eredivisie, so have no idea whether or not that represents value.

It isn't an example of overspending because no one has seen him play for Liverpool to judge him against his price tag. And has the deal even been confirmed by an official source?
