women's lympic footie

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

oh - you're interested now they are winning!!
What do you mean 'now' they have won every match they have played so far. Clearly if you were as avid a fan of women's football as you claim you'd know that though ;)

No! Not until you have watched at least 5 hours of archery, 10 hours of shooting and 4 and a half hours of horse riding. Then I'll consider it.

He'll do that easily. He only works for an hour on Saturday (Sermon) and an Hour on Sunday (delivering his sermon)

That's unfair lads. You forget the couple of hours he spends 'visiting' - those cups of tea all the old ladies prepare for him won't drink themselves you know!

Awww hun, just teasing. Anyone that has the strength to comfort a family who have lost a small baby and take that childs funeral well and truly earns their salary in my eyes.

Ladies football = hot potato
I never realised it had so many devotees!

(I still think - as I said at the time - we should have appointed Hope Powell when Meggo got the bullet...)
The Hope Powell whose tactical instructions apparently consist of the David Moyes-like, 'go f*ck 'em up', and the Meggo-like 'just clod it in the box'? There's a reason she doesn't get any job offers in the men's game!

Anyway I watched the last half an hour of GB getting knocked out. Gutted for them, they seemed to be on a roll from what I'd read. I also realised why I don't watch any women's football... Safe to say the refereeing was of an appropriate quality too, blatant penalty turned down.

Respect to the Brit girls. They did really well. Particular plaudits to Stephanie Houghton, who ran herself into the ground, and Jill Scott. Tough luck girls but well done.

It just happened to be on where I was, ok.

USA just got a pengy at OT that United would've been proud of.

There's a couple of strikers playing that are right in the Coyle signing mold. Apart from the fact they know where the goal is.

Great second half in the USA vs Canada game. Which is the better attacking trio, Wambach, Morgan and Rapinoe or Davies, N'Gog and Eagles? I'm being half serious here :)
