Ambitious Blackburn

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

Huddersfield wanted 8m and not a penny less, so it looks like Blackburn have finally come up with the money. Good player who has started the season well.

8 million is an absolute joke he ain't worth that

I don't think he's worth 8 but 5 defo, but with a record of 82 goals in 157 games then it was always going to take something crazy to prize him away from Huddersfield.

A lot of clubs have looked at him but decided not to sign him. Make of that what you will. He could be a bargain, then again he could be another Jonathan Stead.

Where did that £8m come from?

There is something so, so dodgy about all of this. And no offence but with B'burn, too.

We have been told we are a club free of debt, the small amount of debt was paid off as part of the purchase of the club. How many clubs can claim 'in the black' finances in football?

Dont forget the parachute payments and one again the fact that our 'friends' in Pune may just have bloody finally realised they need to put some money into the club if they want a return to the Prem....

Seem to be a lot of rumours that Kean is to be dispatched today.

I suspect they may stick with Eric Black the current assistant - the cheap option.

Fans want 'Arry - you'll see me at the town hall if that happens.

I can only imagine they're sacking him at this point, because someone they want is interested........

And yes not a chance in a million years with Redknapp, unless Venky's are planning to move the club to Bournemoth.

In which case I reckon (and I'd not put it past Venkys.....) he'd do it.

However, when/if Coyle goes our fans will be exactly the same......

Didn't he have a pretty ill-fated spell somewhere in the past? Lower / Non-league, or have I imagined that??

To do what? They're second in the league... he doesn't need to 'turn things around'..

Or are they going to give him some unreasonable 'goal-difference' type demands for the next 3?

who knows, they are mad :conf:

they are up there but apparently the fans have not been impressed with how they have played, stating a lack of organisation and winning due to the other team not taking their chances
