There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

Considering they appeared to run out of a lot of steam after half an hour that was quite a decent result. As usual they gave the ball away far too often but at least they didn't seem to panic too much when not in possession.

Not a very convincing display. Possession-wise we were well second. Looked a bit nieve all round. Lescott defended well and took his goal well but gets the "Vaz Te's," mesmerised by his own feet. Gerard put the effort in but we had nothing much at all up front. Ref was from planet Hoboh and Ribery's a cheating little scrote. Should have gone off first half for his blatant raking of Parker's face and that supposed elbow? .

A couple of things I never thought I would write:

- we looked hard to beat.
- Gerrard had a good game.

Onwards and upwards.

I thought we looked a bit toothless - but I don't think (for all their possession) the french carried much more threat than us.

I think we earned a draw by NOT being naive... in fact I think that was a hard-headed performance - we kept our shape - didn't get drawn out and pretty much nullified the french...

Aye - Rooney would have made a difference tonight.

Certainly not as a bolton fan at the moment!!

Played well enough, must be hard at 30 degrees to keep a tempo up against a better side. happy with that.

Shock horror I agree with Bish.

We were the very opposite of naive, we were tight, disciplined and as said above, hard to beat.

TD that was the best we can do with this group of players. And possession means fook all. We created as much as they did.

Good effort for me given our limited players.

Ah, sorry, I was watching a different game. One I watched, the opposition had about ten times as many attempts to score and we spent most of the game defending.

What clear cut chances did they create? Nothing as good as the Milner chance.

Lots of shots from 30 yards. Not much else.

I think that we did very well against the 'form' team.

A very good point, now we need to build on it.

Did I say "clear-cut chances"? BWFCi? Dear dear, my memory's worse than I thought, thought I wrote "attempts to score". Note to self-take more care.
