Top players ? Callum Davenport ? Lucas Neill ? Matthew Upson ?? LOL Why didn't they go the whole hog and give us £10m for Nicky Hunt as well ?

In a TV interview post match Alan Curbishley, when asked about Harewood taking the penalty, said " ... I believe he's the penalty taker".

Now, Alan, I know you've not been there long, but surely to God you know who the alloted penalty taker is ?

There's a good deal of unrest in KUMB wetc., about Curbs. They say the team don't like his style of cpoaching & that he simply blanks some people ... & that he doesn't give team talks, just writes notes on a board & let's the players read it (which would explain Anton Ferdinand's problems, then ... too fckg thick to be able to read !!).

I took that to be just so much shite, until I heard this one.

they do seem to have gone worse since curbishley took over

he obviously did well at charlton but it doesn't always work out when they move club

I'd be surprised to see many of the squad playing for them next season. Looks like far too many of them believe their own hype and think they're too good to work hard and save themselves from relegation. Curbishley will have a cull in the summer (hopefully like they do with baby seals) and start agian with his own squad.

Tevez said something similiar last week. That Curbs just writes positions for corners and that on the board and lets them read it.

A League One with Leeds, Millwall and Forest was unthinkable a few years ago, but if the Hammers go down there as well it would be brilliant.

The spaghetti approach, throw everything against the wall and see what sticks. I would disagree with the assertion that they are gearing up for a season in the Championship; remember at the beginning of the window they had just beaten Man U and hadn't yet lost to Watford (lol) so presumably they were holding out hope. Had Wigan been five points clear of them with a game in hand I doubt you'd see the same level of spending in the window.

Well, we'll see who else is "Too big to go down". Manchester City are only a few places above the drop zone as it is. Actually, the quicker they're down the better as far as I'm concerned ... so yes, I do want it over asap.

If, however, they are still clinging on it WOULD be funny to be the hitter-in of the final nail.
