Curbishley Resigns.....

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

We can't have received bids for Jussi since January or else he'd be going on a free.

Helgusson possibly, but I can't really see it.

Have to agree with Batman, and have to say I'm no fan of Megsons. He has done or said nothing to make me believe we are going to be anything more than survivors in this league, and I get the impression he's content with that. Fair enough, when he came in after Lee, the aim was to keep us in the league..and by the skin of our teeth we managed it- fair play. The summer was a chance to push on from that though and make us a bit more of a force in the league. From what I've seen thus far, we're going to struggle again.
It's not just us fans who have an apparent dislike for him either, I've been told from a reliable enough source that hardly any of the players get along so well with the guy, utter prick apparently. How can he possibly get the best out of the team when they arn't playing for him?!

Sorry can someone let me know if there is something of genuine interest following that, because that's were I stopped reading.
I'm aware that a lot of people claim to have "sources" if that's what your gettin at SOTWA...I just happen to be slightly in the know with regard to this one player, and I'm only repeating what he's said. Choose to believe it or not...no skin off my nose.
Look, do you have any idea how many people on here have claimed to have a 'source' in the know? Only for nothing to happen?

Don't get me wrong, if your dissent story happens to be true, I'll take every word your reported source says as gospel. Until your prepared to name your source, or at least what link he has to the story. I'm going to put it on the same back burner as all the others before you.

I truly hope I'm apologising after your story is stated as fact. It would be nice for one out of the last hundred to actually have a source. Though (and I'm not saying it's not true) some actually do have genuine sources around here.

I'm aware of that yes that's why I mentioned it in the opening sentence of my reply!
He isn't my source, and I'm only using that word for want of a better one. My "source" is not involved with the club in any respect, but happens to know the player very well, and what he says about the harmony of the club, and feelings about Megson etc get passed on to me.
As I said, choose to believe that or not, it's hardly ground-breaking news anyway.

Megson doesn't seem to want the player in question leave, having knocked back 5-6 bids for him from different clubs since January, which is why I don't understand why he would be lying about it all.
The only players it can possibly be are Habsi or Vaz Te.

If its Vaz Te then the guys a complete cock and always moaning about something.

If its Habsi then its not surprising given that he isn't first choice.

Plenty of the players have talked off the record saying that Megson was a breath of fresh air. End of the day you can't please all the people all of the time.
Including Kevin Davies, and from that, and his new contract, i deduce he's gotten over Lisbon.

And player dissent rumours aren't all that uncommon. I've heard from a source you'd imagine to be true that one of our players reckoned Megson was the worst manager he'd ever played under when Meggo first got the job. Though i can only presume said player has changed his mind or bitten his lip, because he's still here. And he's by no means one of our most talented players.

But these sort of things happen at every club. You lose a few games and theres dressing room unrest, win one and everything is coming up roses again. It's the way of the world.

sitting in a Glasgow restaurant, half-pissed & onto a very nice cheese plate.

look, it's OK -aying "let's bin Megson" & no, he'll- not Arsene Wenger or even Mark Hughes, but who do you think we'll get to replace him ? the list 10m ago wasn't exactly thrulling, was it ?

As for the "I have a source" shite, until I hear that it's Tyls White I take it all with a pinch of salt.

if you want 100% proof that they can't all loathe him then, surely, Davies, Jussi & Gardner all resigning ... plus the players he personally has brought in prove that to be a load of bllx.

While he's our manager, perfect or not, give the guy some fckg space.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
