Ambitious Blackburn

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

Doesn't the strapline at the top of that article say its a piss take?
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

(yes - it's a satirical paper - like "The Onion" - I was hoping beyond hope that all of the above realised this, and giving them the benefit of the doubt.)

Was it Blackpool and Preston who swapped plane messages last year? Somewhere in Lancashire there's a bloke with a plane canvassing fans forums looking for an earner.

Venky's are nothing if not unpredictable.

I'm not surprised Kean has been offered a new contract.

He certainly fits in in Dingleland.

Now rumours of a takeover by a rich oil baron.

Dingles not the only target. Perhaps Cahill will stay.

Aye, nice return for Eddie ... just so long as he's proper rich, not just well-off or anything. Truly stinking, utterly stupidly, ludicrously rich ... and daft with it. Can't be doing with that.

This kind of thing really creates a conflict in my heart. I like having a man in ownership who is of this town, or more precisely is a life long fan. We've witnessed the dreams of avarice fall flat at other clubs, and you can't help thinking the same would apply here.

But...

Then your imagination starts to run riot. The Premier League isn't getting any easier you know.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.
