Benitez .... prick

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

These charlies are being proven right at the moment aren't they. Where does that leave the ones who want him to stay?
How are they being proven right, exactly? Were they being proved right in May last year when we finished 2nd? Does a run of poor form mean the manager should be sacked? Were the fans who were calling for Ferguson's head a few years ago after they'd gone 3 years without a title and had finished bottom of their Champions League group in the right?

It's fairly difficult on a phone in, to get enough time to get everything you want to say, said. So regardless as to whether you could for example, construct a wonderful 60 minute show to explain in well thought out detail why Rafa isn't right (or Megson for that matter), you're only going to get a couple of minutes generally, unless the phone lines are quiet. I'd suggest that's not the fault of the individual, but the format of the show - which I think is what you're saying too. The fact that it comes across as "he's got to go because our recent results are crap", because that's all the person has time to say, doesn't in itself make them a moron.
Nope, plenty of people have different opinions to me and I'm not so arrogant as to suggest that I'm right about absolutely everything, especially where a lot of it is a matter of opinion as opposed to fact, anyway. You're perfectly entitled to have a different opinion, providing that you can back it up and that it makes sense. People have the right to question others' opinions, and if they don't stand up to scrutiny then they fall into the aforementioned 'moron' category.

I agree the format is crap, but I disagree that you don't get the time to make your point. Even if you get 30-60 seconds uninterrupted airtime, that should be plenty to get your point across and make some sort of coherent and logical point about your views (albeit not the full singing and dancing version). Except people don't. It's the same on the net - people would rather post a short sentence or two about 'Megson Out' than bother to put the effort in to explaining their reasons behind their view. Those who don't bother to explain get lambasted for being morons, those who can explain in a reasoned fashion fall into the pile of people you disagree with, but at least they have a reasoned opinion.
Totally agree Blurred!!
takes less than 30 seconds to say El waiter is a prick!

Well, you are currently in 7th place after losing 6 games already this season (The same as you have done the previous 2 season in total) and are now 13 points behind the leaders. You are out of the Champions League.

Oh yes and your manager is a prick.

So the fact that we've had a poor start to the season means those who wanted him out 2 years ago (before we had our best ever Premier League season) were right? My, how prescient they were.

It is only the same as most Bolton fans know that Megson will eventually take us down. It may be this season or perhaps next but he WILL take us down. It doesn't take a genius to know it.

Well I guess the question is are they being proved right at the moment, or did the preceeding years prove them wrong? (Benitez I'm talking about here, obviously, as we all know Megson's shit ;) ) Do you overreact at an aberration of a few months, or do you stick with and trust the person that's raised your expectations to the level that he is currently not living up to?

If I'd started saying that we'd definately be relegated when we first came up, and kept on saying it in every season since then, I will eventually be proven right (at some stage, we will go down, under Megson or whoever).

Broken clocks, not amazing foresight.

So Megson is the right man to take us to the next level i.e. mid-table mediocrity rather than perennial strugglers?

Nah it's alright, she could do with some help carrying the Xmas dinner from the kitchen to the table. Perhaps if she is putting on several choices he could go round finding out exactly which option each person would like. He could take guests' coats and seat them, and even bring over the wine. It's a job to which I think he would be ideally suited.

So er, I was always taught you can only guarantee two things in life...tax and death. So what in the devil thinks Rafa can guarantee a top 4 finish?!?

Yoiu missed the third one - the nurse. Somewhere between crashing through puberty and snuffing it a chap will shag a nurse.
