Something tells me that the avatars are probably a substitute for the real thing. All that attention seeking is probably a result of pent up frustration.hisroyalgingerness wrote:what and miss out on his avatars, which by the way commie is due an update

If Allardyce starts to poach our backroom staff his credibility in my eyes will be severley eroded.
After stating how much he had a connection with the club and how he had set us up for contunied success in the future, to come in and dismantle what he has left us with would be amazingly hypocritical.
The playing staff are a lesser concern, its the expertise and knowledge in the backroom staff that are kind of things that will help us to succeed over the long-term. If Sam tries to take this apart he will have dismantled his own legacy to the club.

Careful, you're in danger of steering the thread back onto the actual topic!Mixu Fattypieman wrote:If Allardyce starts to poach our backroom staff his credibility in my eyes will be severley eroded.

For what it's worth i think that the backroom staff would be easier to replace than the players but at least Newcastle have already got a decent keeper!

No ... that appointment wouldn't have need to have been made if he hadn't walked, so it's irrelevant to the legalities of a breach of contract.TANGODANCER wrote:Apparently, due to having a new manager inplace, as opposed to being left without one, suing might not apply?
It would reduce any claim for "further damages" ... but that's a totally different area of contract law.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Are we in a position to prevent him taking up his post pending a suitable compensation payment? I do hope so.bobo the clown wrote:No ... that appointment wouldn't have need to have been made if he hadn't walked, so it's irrelevant to the legalities of a breach of contract.TANGODANCER wrote:Apparently, due to having a new manager inplace, as opposed to being left without one, suing might not apply?

Does that mean that we get to send some huge bloke to gatecrash Newcastle's press conference to serve a writ on Allardyce, much like Jordan attempted to do when Dowie was appointed?!warthog wrote:I suspect Garty and Fat Freddy will be watching the Simon Jordan v Ian Dowie case which is to be heard in summer. If Dowie loses then you can bet that Sam will be on the receiving end of a writ.

Lovely image, but they'd have to get the court case sorted unusually pronto...trotter58 wrote:Does that mean that we get to send some huge bloke to gatecrash Newcastle's press conference to serve a writ on Allardyce, much like Jordan attempted to do when Dowie was appointed?!warthog wrote:I suspect Garty and Fat Freddy will be watching the Simon Jordan v Ian Dowie case which is to be heard in summer. I just remember the live news conference on Sky being interrupted whilst a fight broke out between the bloke attempting to serve the writ and the Charlton staff attempting to wrestle him out of the door! All you could hear was the bloke bellowing 'Get off me! I'm here to serve a writ on Iain Dowie'! Personally i think we should send Lofty the Lion to do the job.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:Lovely image, but they'd have to get the court case sorted unusually pronto...trotter58 wrote:Does that mean that we get to send some huge bloke to gatecrash Newcastle's press conference to serve a writ on Allardyce, much like Jordan attempted to do when Dowie was appointed?!warthog wrote:I suspect Garty and Fat Freddy will be watching the Simon Jordan v Ian Dowie case which is to be heard in summer. Oh aye - I recall the amusement, we gathered round the office telly to watch it - I'm just saying that if the court case is this summer (and given the lack of media coverage not just yet either), it would have to be resolved immediately in Jordan's favour for such an occurence to take place at Allardyce's unveiling.trotter58 wrote:I just remember the live news conference on Sky being interrupted whilst a fight broke out between the bloke attempting to serve the writ and the Charlton staff attempting to wrestle him out of the door! Nowt to stop it happening at a later press conference, though...

He could be door stepped prior to the first day of the season. The Lofty the Lion idea sounds good.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:Oh aye - I recall the amusement, we gathered round the office telly to watch it - I'm just saying that if the court case is this summer (and given the lack of media coverage not just yet either), it would have to be resolved immediately in Jordan's favour for such an occurence to take place at Allardyce's unveiling.trotter58 wrote:I just remember the live news conference on Sky being interrupted whilst a fight broke out between the bloke attempting to serve the writ and the Charlton staff attempting to wrestle him out of the door! Hardly. 'Certain people' on this board have merely pointed out that nothing official has yet been confirmed.trotter58 wrote:It's a done deal, despite what certain people on this forum would have you believe.officer_dibble wrote:hmmmmm well whatever I was fooled

He may end up at Newcastle. 'Officially' he isn't. Yet anyway.
