(a) The c*nt was being serious
(b) This remark went completely unchallenged
(c) I don't think it was Dan
There are some serious plums walking about and breathing.

You may have won the battle today but you will lose the war (for 4th) IMO

Tony Adams fessed-up on yesterday's Football Focus that Arsenal sent him to Southampton to scout Bale. Adams returned and told Arsenal that Bale wasn't good enough. Oh dear.

We'll see. I am quietly confident that we might actually have a good season for once - we are due one (and even when we have bad seasons we always finish above the spuds...) They've just spent over £100mil and still can't beat us.

Did I say that losing just the one game since march was a terrible crisis? Yes, was peed off we lost our opening game and i want Wenger to buy, but I don't think I was hopping on the terrible crisis band wagon and given its only just turned into September I hope you Bolton fans aren't either.

No, you can have good reason by November, give it a chance. Crap start, yes, but am confident you have quality enough to turn it around!

£36,000 per day. He's going to earn more in a day than the average annual UK salary.

meanwhile.....
(BBC)
We've been asked how much money Southampton will make from the Gareth Bale transfer.
The answer is absolutely nothing (almost).
Saints did have a 25% sell-on clause in the deal to sell Bale to Tottenham, but is was renegotiated when the south-coast club were in deep financial trouble.
As part of the new deal, Saints got Spurs goalkeeper Tommy Forecast.
Daniel Levy is some sort of arch-negotiator.
