Chuffed for Lambert. Might not play for the big boys but how many of the top men have scored with there first touch as an international?

Superb result for Blackburn 1 point from their first 3 games, could they do worse than last season?
The above post is complete bollox/garbage/nonsense, please point this out to me at any and every occasion possible.
Re: Tonight's Football
I was hoping now Brucie had binned off Mr Rhodes in the FF he was nailed on for a hat-trick

Re: Tonight's Football
Very decent game on between Leeds and Sheff W just now. I don't remember Steven Warnock going to Leeds

Re: Tonight's Football
So Wigan also lost today and had a man sent off.
That dirty feck McManananaman was a substitute but he was sent off after 3 minutes and 14 seconds of being introduced.

He went there as they could afford to pay him the wages we could not afford.Bruce Rioja wrote:Very decent game on between Leeds and Sheff W just now. I don't remember Steven Warnock going to Leeds
This is the Leeds who, apparently, can't afford to pay Mills wages.
Funny old game is football.
I liked Warnock.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

At this rate, I'm going to start getting into celebrity dancing on ice or whatever it is.
Might even get a season ticket for it.

Don't get too hooked into it. Mrs AT says it is being canned at the end of the series (season for you yanks). Hang in there. Those cheeky Geordies will be back down under around soon enough. We might even find a win by thenWorthy4England wrote:At this rate, I'm going to start getting into celebrity dancing on ice or whatever it is.

Ahh yes, that were it. I liked Warnock too, but on the evidence so far I prefer Tierney.bobo the clown wrote:He went there as they could afford to pay him the wages we could not afford.Bruce Rioja wrote:Very decent game on between Leeds and Sheff W just now. Who does he play for? I've just had it on in the car for half an hour - the only time I knew which side were in possession was when Lennon had it.

Re: Tonight's Football
Tell me what you think of this. I've just watched the last half an hour and one thing that's really impressed me is how organised Palace are at the back. Now then, is that Holloway's work? (and I'm doubting that it is) If not then it must be the defence that he inherited from Douglas, no? Now compare that with the bugger's muddle that calls itself a defence at our pace. WTF, as I believe is the popular expression.BWFC_Insane wrote:Palace. Australian international. Really impressive.Bruce Rioja wrote:BWFC_Insane wrote:Observation from the Palace Spurs match.

I quite liked the look of Wilbraham, thought Lennon played well for Spurs as well.

Re: Tonight's Football
Aye but I think it's easier to sit back and soak it up when that's all you are going to do for an hour. Palace did the same at our place last season. It's why they were at the top when Dougie left. Very well organised, sat back, soaked it up, and hit on the break.Bruce Rioja wrote:Tell me what you think of this. I think we are working towards that. Trouble is people then start getting arsey that we are inviting teams onto us, and then people say we are good enough to go and dominate games.
That Palace defence looked shaky when Holloway started trying to play in the other sides half more last season.
I personally think we are well organised. We seem to concede from individual errors rather than teams cutting through the midfield as happened at the start of last season. Burnley goal came down to a poor Knight header and a cock up by Wheater, from a long clearance. Reading goal through Wheaters clumsiness. Forests first goal a shocking pass from Knight.
I'm not convinced coaching can do much about that.
Re: Tonight's Football
I don't often agree with you but I think you have hit the nail on the head. I think they can only be coached so far and then it is down to the personnel. When we have Knight and Wheater. Enough said.BWFC_Insane wrote:Aye but I think it's easier to sit back and soak it up when that's all you are going to do for an hour. Palace did the same at our place last season.
