Wigan edges out Bolton by a few hundred yards. However I was born on Plodder Lane and being brought up in Leigh means a lifetime of hatred for all things Wigan.

I was born in my parents' house on the Lostock/Horwich border - perhaps less than a mile from the Reebok. I'm fairly sure Burnden would have been the closest at the time but I can't check. We didn't have postal codes back then. :oops:
