Re: Who would you like to see promoted from the Championship
We normally do pretty well against Leeds (when Fowler isn't playing for them)
I'd have Leeds back up, easy one fopr me to get to! But yeah, they would bleat and bleat and bleat about how massive they are, how Leeds is better than Manchester/Birmingham/Lond/Scousepool.....and not just the football team and fans....the local Council, the newspapers, the TV reporters, the supermarkets....everyone would. Which would grate. A lot.

QPR are pretty much a given, I think. Which I don't mind as a mate of mine's a long-suffering QPR fan, and it's a ground I've not been to.
Other than them? Leeds is closer than most and would make for an easy away trip for me. I'd also like to see Forest up, as I've got mates that live in Nottingham so would fancy going down for a weekend for the away game there. Either of the Welsh sides'd be fine - flights from here down to Bristol and have family in S.Wales and they're always a good away trip. Even Norwich would be alright.
In short, any of the top 6 I'd be happy enough with, really not keen on any of the next 4/5 who might sneak in there. Burnley's a shithole, ditto Watford, ditto Hull. Leicester might be the only of the alternative suspects I'd fancy, and Reading and Millwall can feck right off.

So - being serious here - and agreeing with you on the burnleys etc... what's all right about Leicester?
Re: Who would you like to see promoted from the Championship
You get a better curry there than you do at Watford, Burnley, Millwall and Hull. And it's a ground I've not been to. If I had to have one of those next half dozen or so teams, I'd have them. Done the others (or in the case of Millwall have no inclination to).William the White wrote:So - being serious here - and agreeing with you on the burnleys etc... what's all right about Leicester?

It wasn't when I took a good Tw*tting there in the '70s

Not been to Portsmouth. Like Loftus Road though, so happy they're coming up. Might go if its a saturday in early or late season. London's a f*cking horrible place in winter.

had some great times at Portsmouth (was always a stopover trip) The time we first qualified for europe the stand out one! then again was also there on that tuesday night 4-0 hammering in the rain!
Re: Who would you like to see promoted from the Championship
Seeing as I live in Nottingham, hopefully Forest and Leicester will go up with QPR. Can't stand Leeds or that fat f@ck Chris Moyles, stick to playing crap songs on your crap radio station you w@nker. I feel sorry for anyone that has to endure that garbage at work, and even more sorry for people that actually think he is funny

In the fullness of time I'd like to see Orient and West Ham change league places!

After today's games it's looking like QPR, Norwich automatically going up and as for the play-offs i hope that Leeds drop out and Burnley get in

I'm not bothered. Don't like Leeds and none of the others are close by regarding away days. I think it will be QPR Cardiff and Reading. I'd quite happily have Bothroyd on a free and Matt Mills next year though, so hopefully two others. Norwich and Leeds would both get fooked every week. And let's be honest, we will all be starting next season counting where we'll get the forty from.

QPR because they're an under-rated side, bit like us. And Burnley so they can go back down and not blame us for nicking their manager and thus getting re-relegated when their tight fisted owner doesn't give any money to improve the squad.

Oh, right. QPR aren't the richest club in Britain, then?Gravedigger wrote:QPR because they're an under-rated side, bit like us.

I don't actually know the extent of their finances, nor that it was a requirement of the English Premier League to be poor.Zulus Thousand of em wrote:... and just wait until the media wankfest that follows their promotion.Bruce Rioja wrote:Oh, right. I didn't also know that there would be a "Wankfest". I thought that was reserved for Wet Spam. So to avoid anyone hijacking the outrage bus I'll change my choices to Milwall, they've waited long enough, and Burnley for reasons already stated. How strange that the title of this thread is "Who would you like to see promoted from the championship". I must have been confused somewhere along the line.
