They have now got 5 people doing 2 jobs at Spuds currently the structure is as follows: Tim Sherwood, Les Ferdinand and Chris Ramsey are managers and Steffan Freund and Tony Parks as assistant managers  .

Just love all the ex spurs players and fans on the radio going on and on about they must have someone who knows the history of the club, plays the spurs way etc etc...so that's someone who wins feck all in over 40 years except for the odd cup and finish behind Arsenal, yet to meet a spurs fan who's not a bit of a dick

Skysports was quite interesting about it all last night. In regards to the transfers in and out since he's been there, he bought 17 players and got rid of 27 with a net spend of only £5m, I know the Bale money obscures that a bit, but the players he's brought in (if indeed it was actually him who signed them and not Baldini) are all young and are for the long-term of the club. Nobody has seemed to pick up on this!!!

Alan Sugar was on and he said that AVB is "too inexperienced" at the minute but give him 10years and he'll be a top manager?

Alan Sugar knows less about football than most average punters have forgotten.

He's pretty much said so himself, yet still bangs the drum whenever someone shoves a microphone near his face

They tried to press him as to who he wants to replace AVB and he said "I dont' know".... proper helpful in an interview about whats happening at his beloved club.

I'm sure if they were to offer him the money, he'd go out and find one.

I really don't like "who you replace him with" argument.. People are paid millions to make those decisions, with more inside knowledge than any fan.

Andre Villas-Boas sacked: AVB seals his fate at Spurs by rejecting Emmanuel Adebayor

Interesting take. I'd be happily rid if I were a Spud.
He's worse than Dougie for being negative and overcomplicating things.

There is a gap of 3 points between City and Spurs, but a goal difference discrepancy of 35!

He can go back to Portugal with 2 hefty payoffs and be very comfortable.

Any thoughts to Hoddle's comment about him possibly going there? 8)

Chelsea also 'bought' him for about £15m if I remember, expensive bloke to hire and fire!

I do have a lot of time for AVB and see what he is trying to do but right now you can't ignore his ability to get on the wrong side of people and his weird reversion to high lines with John Terry or Michael Dawson in them.

I know his Porto finished 3rd the year before and players alone don't make a team who crush everyone, but looking at some of the players he had... Falcao, Hulk, James Rodriguez, Varela, Moutinho, Guarin... Hmm

I think that managers have to have a certain type of personality to succeed at big English clubs. Being clever or tactically sophisticated alone isn't going to cut it. Hence the genius of Allardyce - recognise your limitations and delegate, while never relinquishing overall control.

am mostly happy because we no longer have to listen to commentators disagreeing how to pronounce his name - and coming out with veelash boash...

Tim Sherwood seems to feel it should be his for the asking. Indeed, gone on today to say he wouldn't be interested in the Asst. Manager post if not selected for the main job. Apparently he states that one of his strengths for the job is that he's "a very opinionated person".

Where would be the right place on your CV for that claim, I wonder.

Tim Sherwood has got the gig until the end of next season.

Sounds very much to me like they have someone to take the job maybe at a particular time.
