Re: Tonight's Football
apparently, Bendnter's had a bit of a mare tonight and has just been subbed...

Breaking news. Bendtner took a swing at a water bottle on the way off but completed his hat trick of air shots instead by missing it.

You should have popped in for a brew. (No THAT's not a euphemism either).
Did you buy one of those criiiiiiinge scarves, half Arsenal, half Coventry, like it was a Champions League final, they were selling outside the station?

Keep forgetting you're a local now! And no I didn't! Surely more of a novelty buy for Coventry fans then gooners?! And fair play to the Coventry fans, I hadn't realised quite how rough their situation is at the moment, we gave them a round of applause during their protest. Got to feel a bit sorry for them. As I think did the arsenal stewards who made no attempt for ages to remove the pitch invading protesting Coventry fan...Prufrock wrote:You should have popped in for a brew. Half the floodlights went out during the game, was quite entertaining watching the crowd waving lighters and mobile phone torches around! Other then that, a pretty average match. We relaxed majorly in the second half, Coventry never looked especially up for it. Game was played at a pretty relaxed slow pace, not a typical cup game. Bendtner was crap as usual.

This is the second time that I've seen Brad Jones play for Liverpool and it's the second time that I've sat here thinking - how the feck did he ever get a gig as a professional goalkeeper?

May the bridges I burn light your way

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Re: Tonight's Football
I saw extra time and penalties. Highlight of it all was the Cliftonville keeper's outstanding, luxuriant beard. Quite remarkable.bobo the clown wrote:Well ... seeing as no-one will have, go on, tell us about it !!Relentless09 wrote:I hope no one else watched or seen bits of the Northern Ireland League cup final, absolutely brutal.

I can recall saying, when we were leaking 2 goals a game that no team managed 3 a game, so clearly we needed to tighten up. Might have to revise that thinking...jaffka wrote:Everytime I catch tonights footie, City have scored another goal. Looks like they have sorted out their away form.

Mancini was on the wireless last week giving it the "Yeah, but this is the squad that I assembled" without at any moment realising how inept he was making himself out to be.jaffka wrote:Everytime I catch tonights footie, City have scored another goal. I can't remember seeing a team like this who score so many and are capable of tw@tting any other team.Worthy4England wrote:I can recall saying, when we were leaking 2 goals a game that no team managed 3 a game, so clearly we needed to tighten up. They are a really good side.
I must be a fanboy, I like watching them. I also like watching the dmbs, p*ssed off because the blues are doing far better than them.
