Re: Tonight's Football
I was having a chat with a City fan (he spoke of looking forward to the cup final) what if City lost the cup final - they could all but end any hopes of United getting into Europe as United would then probably have to finish 5th
.

Clarke Carlisle is another to add to the "shite co-commentator" group....
Re: Tonight's Football
Vertonghen cheating again. no reason to go down even if the bloke was a bit f a dick. Shame he didn't get to him after the red card and give him a real reason to lie on the floor. He's got form for that as well. Hope someone injures him properly.

I think you need to watch the replay again mate. Clear head butt to the face/cheek.
Re: Tonight's Football
Watched it several times, soft coming together, greatly exaggerated. Like I said, the guy was being a dick and I have no sympathy for him, no way did Vertonghen need to do that though. It's a bit like the Carroll/Flores thing. Can't argue with the card but end up disliking the victim more than the transgressor.ChrisC wrote:LeverEnd wrote:Vertonghen cheating again. no reason to go down even if the bloke was a bit f a dick. Re: Tonight's Football
There was clear contact on Vertonghen though. Not cheating in my book. Flores/Carroll incident was completely different because Carroll didn't even touch the face of Flores in any way. He caught his girly pony tail and therefore was cheating to get Carroll sent off.LeverEnd wrote:Watched it several times, soft coming together, greatly exaggerated. Clearly deserving of a campaign to force the next Premiership club to have a vacancy to take him as manager.Bruce Rioja wrote:Ah, but he's black and he's done a conundrum.Annoyed Grunt wrote:Clarke Carlisle is another to add to the "shite co-commentator" group....
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

If he doesn't go down, the guy doesn't get sent off despite deserving to.

I know, same with penalties, but I'd be embarrassed if I were so 'professional'. Soft bastard.boltonboris wrote:If he doesn't go down, the guy doesn't get sent off despite deserving to.

I think it's more a fault with refereeing. If you stay on your feet, you get feck all despite being fouled

Re: Tonight's Football
That's right, it winds me up with penalties. Refs will take any opportunity to bottle it so players feel 'entitled to go down'.boltonboris wrote:I think it's more a fault with refereeing. If you stay on your feet, you get feck all despite being fouled

Massively unconvinced by the Charlie Adam ban!
Certainly not sure he *didn't* mean it, but far from convinced there's enough evidence to say he did.

Almost exactly what I said to my mate (so you must be right). He's looking away, Giroud slides into his path, looked accidental to me. Rep goes before him though, so tough shite!Prufrock wrote:Massively unconvinced by the Charlie Adam ban!
