What's happened? I just spotted that England have named 18 substitutes according to the BBC...We must be contemplating subbing some subs...Annoyed Grunt wrote:I'm sure I can hear Wenger gently sobbing......

Our Jack seems to have done his metatarsal's, possibly. Gone off in lots of pain.Worthy4England wrote:What's happened? False alarm - he's back on the pitch.

Re: Tonight's Football
Wilshire is amongst the most impressive ones on the pitch. Really good box to box footballer that lad. Sterling looks a bit of a show pony (hope I'm wrong on that). Gerard probably our most impressive player. Cahill doing well in defence. Game neither particularly good or bad and isn't going to tell much if the subs are coming on. More an excercise than competitive I'd say. Hope we don't see any more injuries. Wilshire gave me a bit of a fright there.

I was a bit underwhelmed with him - and Henderson. Lallana seems to have far more to his game.TANGODANCER wrote:Wilshire is amongst the most impressive ones on the pitch.

Re: Tonight's Football
Henderson, yes, I agree. For me Wilshire is a grafter, not afraid to get stuck in, and skilled with it. Lallana is a good prospect, Luke Shaw had a good debut and I think we have more strength in depth thn we've had for a fair while. Andros Townsend only got a couple of minutes, Oxlade Chamberlain not much more and we had a pretty strong bench altogether. Rooney wasn't all that imprssive for me and tends to be a bit careless in his passing lately. We still have Defoe not used tonight. I like Welbeck and Sturridge together up front and although Stirling got M.O.T.M I'd have given it to Gerard. A win's always nice, but Denmark didn't offer much threat really.Little Green Man wrote:I was a bit underwhelmed with him - and Henderson. Re: Tonight's Football
England are currently 33/1 to win the World Cup. For those of you who do not understand betting it means if you gamble £20 you will lose £20.

See Anelka's being forced to go on a 'compulsory education course'.That's a bit Orwellian.
They weren't satisfied that he is an anti-semite or that he intended to express or promote anti-semitism but they wete satisfied that the gesture was strongly associated with anti-semitism.
I think their reasoning is circular and messed up.
Was it 'strongly associated'? Certainly not here - no one had heard of it. So maybe if you're French. Like he is. Bit if it's that strongly associated in France then it's difficult to see how they can find he wasn't promoting or expressing it. Unless it's ambiguous. In which case it can't be that strongly associated.

Get in! Ozil!
Re: Tonight's Football
Why did the arse defenders just watch Barkley run that far?
Re: Tonight's Football
Burnley have turned it round against Blackburn, 2-1 up now, not the prettiest to watch but a spirited team. Paul Robinson has had a shocker.

They were the better side, deserved the win....
Re: Tonight's Football
They were better and no where near their best.

Hull 2-0 now. ..... & may I add what a cock Gus Poyet is.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
