Not at all. He did what he felt he needed to. And it was fun to watch.Bruce Rioja wrote:Oh dear. Have you not gone a bit red on reading that back?BWFC_Insane wrote: He can do what he likes as far as I'm concerned. Managers are always outside their technical areas now anyway.
I don't have an issue with it myself, perhaps because I'm happy to let Jose make the rules.....

Where I am too. He's either a genius, or the luckiest guy ever.boltonboris wrote:Mourinho's brilliant.
I honestly think he could manage in absolutely any industry. The bloke is immense.
His man-management is insanely good. He knows who to put an arm around and when, who to bollock and when, how to get the best out of almost everyone. Eto'o the most recent example. Makes a joke about his age in an interview when he 'thought' he was off-the-record. A livid, pumped-up Eto'o then starts banging them in and playing fantastically. They have a shit performance away at Villa but he kicks off at the end and suddenly it's all about him not his players.
I get why he pisses people off, and haven't seen what happened last night, but the way players who've played for him talk about him is something else. And despite clearly being insanely good tactically, it's that respect he gets that means the players buy into it and so why it works.

Just noticed that Atletico v Barca is live on Sky One (Ch 106) tonight, for those of us without Sky Sports. That's me sorted.

Roger fecking Stanislaus. How old is he?
Is he still plYing for Burnley or am I drunk? Well, I am. But the I'm watching the Football bastard show for the first time in donkey's, and they're talking about Stanislaus for Burmley.
It's probably a different one. But Roger Stanislaus was a nice person. And I have no doubt the contemporary Burnley version is as well.
That is all.
Shite.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Re: Tonight's Football
You've got to hand it to Liverpool, so far this is just absolutely brilliant football.
All at pace, none of this knock it around for ten minutes, it's direct, exciting, football played at pace.
Can't stand the scousers, but this is absolutely brilliant to watch, against another top team.
