There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

Conversation overheard in the newsagent's today:

"Don't know why we're starting Rooney. Carroll and Wellbeck should be in. All this hype and Rooney hasn't even kicked a ball yet. Leave the big lad to rough em up a bit and bring him on as fresh legs"

" I think you're right.He'll only get sent off"

"Wellbeck's done well and Carroll's goal was brilliant. Leave well enough alone,I say"

" Definitely"

Conversation was between a forty-ish female shop assistant and a well-over-sixty lady. Made me grin. :D

Are you suggesting that the cream will rise to the surface? :P

Nah, France will bottle it. And with Shevchenko out, Ukraine don't have enough moovement up front.

All Ukraine at the minute, to be expected though.

Well, I suppose they've not hit the panic button yet.

I reckon it took the commentator 39 minutes to mention a contribution from Milner. As for Rooney - utter gash. (He'll probably grab a brace in the second half.)

Well somebody tell him ffs. He's playing more like Nelly than Pele. Very poor half, completely dominated everywhere in the pitch. Milner doing nothing at all and the whole lot looking as dangerous as an egg custard. Commentators talking up a storm of crap as always. " Brilliantly controlled by Rooney...oh, he's given it away" . Sure hope they've been told to slow it down first half, because right now.....

I swear I'll kick mi telly in if Clive Tyldesley carries on with this "If England can win the group they avoid Spain" bollox. Yes, and play those well known pushovers Italy. We're being dominated by Ukraine FFS. It wont matter who we meet :whack:
