I'm struggling with the #COYI - what's the 'I' stand for (surely it should be 'H', no)?

i think they are both - irons and hammers are the same thing - the symbols on their badge - they were an ironworks works team originally, I think...Lost Leopard Spot wrote:thebish wrote:irons..![]()

My ignorance was exceedingly deep on this subject... here I was thinking they'd got hammers on their badge because they were West Ham. It did occur to me waaaaaay back when I was a kid that a pig was a more appropriate rebus for them, but I guess I now know why it wasn't.thebish wrote:i think they are both - irons and hammers are the same thing - the symbols on their badge - they were an ironworks works team originally, I think...Lost Leopard Spot wrote:thebish wrote:irons..![]()

Kind of apt, considering you were calling Dougie the next Allardyce. Obviously, our current manager is still on minus nowhere, but its a start eh?BWFC_Insane wrote:

You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Nowhere compared to where he wanted, which is very widely documented to be a top 4 side or England. he said so himself many times.Lord Kangana wrote:Kind of apt, considering you were calling Dougie the next Allardyce. Remember the whole "If I was Allardici thing"....
Which was kind of true only he missed the point somewhat.......

Allardicci appears to be prepared to risk playing Carroll even though he's barely regained fitness.
a). He must be cacking himself
b). Never clever to rush someone back
c). If he plays him and re-injures himself that could be his whole season written-off

Yep ... & Matty Taylor's ability is being questioned, Jussi's dropped and Nolan, currently in a second straight-red ban of the season as fans question what he brings to the club.thebish wrote:joeyo is injured? well - there's a surprise!
The Bolton master-plan is working.

i know it is controversial - but I still think it was right to get shut of all of them... (for different reasons)
Re: West Ham are complete failures! Let's all laugh at 'em!
I think all the players who ended up there probably needed a move from us just to freshen things up for themselves. For example Jussi looked shot here but then had a decent enough year in the Prem when he had a new start.
They're all getting on now though

aye - agree totally... 'tis true that nolly had a great time at Newcastle - but i don't think he'd have replicated that had he stayed put at Bolton...Athers wrote:I think all the players who ended up there probably needed a move from us just to freshen things up for themselves. "You have to say that Thomas Hitzelberger has shown tremendous courage to admit that he once played for West Ham".
Brilliant.
