EURO 2008

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

Looking like I'm Greek for the month then - presumably the Swiss players are injured?

With my Polish ancestry I'll be rooting for POLAND for the next few weeks!

POLSKA POLSKA POLSKA!

I also have Austrian blood but they're absolute pap.

Got a feeling Croatia will do well though.

I'm going to support Scotland in this...at least when they don't win it, I'll have been expecting it.

Struggling to get interested in it to be honest. Watching the opening game, whilst ironing then plonked on the computer. No matter how ITV, Beeb & Sky sell it its just not the same when England are'nt involved.
If I should die, think only this of me:
That there's some corner of a foreign field
That is for ever England

Enjoyed the opening game myself, felt Switzerland were a bit unlucky, 2 penalty shouts and at least one could have been given any other day.

Good start to the tournament as far as I'm concerned :)

I'd argue that without England I can actually enjoy some football for a change, no worries, no thinking about who I want us to avoid.

Bit of both for me. Enjoyable enough game and two fair penalty shouts denied to the Swiss. That's football. Never quite the same when we aren't there.

Apparently Ronaldo is playing. And Madrid want him. So Clive Tyldesley says. For the ten millionth time.

For me, football isn't football without the worries. I'm still coming to terms with us not being there.

Turks on now, i'd quite like atleast one Englishman to do alright, so come on Kazim Richards.

Ten minutes gone and already Pleat is on top form, getting Portugal and Portsmouth mixed up. Marvellous.

This Kazim-Richards guy looks pretty useful. Diouf replacement?

i reacon we could get Deco, Utd and Chelsea don't want him no more, and he wants to come to england, so maybe we'd get him...and i liked Kazim-Richards, those two would be pretty decent, Deco insted of Guthrie and Kazim-Richards insted of Diouf when he leaves

I'd have Kazim knocking about the squad, not so much a direct replacement for Diouf (thats what Eidur is for :)) but he'd give us some width and can run a bit.
