Sam Allardyce named Blackburn Manager

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

Umm why does it matter?

Allardyce would be mad to turn a premiership job down.

Hope they go down but no more so than before. Just because if they go down its one less spot for us to worry about.

As for Allardyce taking our players, umm it seems unlikely. All the wantaway merchants have gone and the team spirit is a million times better. We are now a solid club and if any players go it will be on our own terms. Remember Blackburn are in financial difficulties so they won't exactly be making offers that are " too good to turn down". I would wager that players like Jussi and Gardner and Davies and Nolan are Loyal to BWFC far more than they are to Allardyce!

Nice. :D

Me, I don't care where he works; though it'll be lovely to read in six months time that he's got a job stacking shelves at Toys R Us.

Most of the Bentley money went to Arsenal due to a sell on clause, what was left with the transfer funds was blown on Grella, Andrews and Robinson.

There aint alot of money left in the pot!

Aye

Put me in the 'Hope he f*cks it up big time but suspect he probably won't' camp

Wonder if he fancies poaching Little Sam from Liverpool?

Might take Sbragia from Sunderland to really mess them up after not being enthusiastic about his candidacy.

Will keep them up but that is all. Bye bye to any chance of making top half with him in charge. His time has gone. Outdated tactics and attitude towards player management. Also too much of a meeja personality.

Will be interesting to see if this pans out like you predict.

I couldn't give a rat's arse (sorry, Ratty). All I'm interested in is how we perform.

I know for a fact, that in the same situation i'd be off in a shot.

But i still think he's a cock and i hope he falls flat on his face.

Is that hypocritcal and bitter? Probably. Atleast it'll stop knobs singing 'Sammy Sammy Sammy Sammy Allardyce' next time we lose a game.

I think he'll be better off at Blackburn that at Newcastle. At Newcastle they expect big signings and good football. Allardyce proved inept at delivering on both. At Blackburn he'll be back to finding bargains and playing "win at all costs" football - his strengths. However, I can't help but think his time is over. Others have caught up to the training methods he used to keep us fit and straight long-ball football can be nullified pretty effectively by most Premier League defenders.

As long as Blackburn don't stay up at our expense I don't care,

Well actually I do hope that he takes them down.
Depression is just a state of mind, supporting Bolton is also a state of mind hence supporting Bolton must be depressing QED
