biggest game of our season...

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

I also expect Arsene to react by getting his thugs at the back to try and kick chunks out of them like the giant hypocrite he is.

Interestingly a certain Nigel Winterburn was on R5 this morning - when asked how Arsenal would cope with Messi, he spent some time bemoaning the changes that have sidelined tough tackling - and said that in his day they would simply have kicked him off the park - but that nowadays as soon as you tackle someone "solidly" referees intervene for "aggressive play"....

hmmmmm....... I wonder why?
Nigel Winterburn = Legend. Wish we still had that back 4...
I wonder what he thinks when he hears Wenger talk about tackling....
:D He did play under Wenger. I don't remember them being less effective as a back line under Wenger then under Rioch or GG - though they were getting on a bit by then!

no - not at all - I believe they have won the Emirates Cup once...

(which is a bit like us winning the Asia Trophy only with less teams in it and all at their own ground.)

:) Ha-de-ha!

Have you forgotten since the double of 98, our 3rd double winning season in 2002 (Fa cup and league) an unbeaten season in 2004 (a pretty amazing achievement you have to admit) 2 more FA cups and 3 more community shields, not to mention appearences in the final of the carling cup and champions league...

What have Bolton won since 1998?

remind us all how it was you managed to get promoted to the top league in the first place? was it by winning the second division - or even coming second or third or fourth and winning some kind of playoff arrangement?

or was it something else?

Having bribed your way into the top flight for that first season.

1998 was, I think, the last time Wenger went a season without demanding the rules be changed so that contact is illegal to anyone wearing an Arsenal shirt.

some dodginess perhaps but it was at the expense of spurs so that just makes it funny and a good story!

yeah, well he had to get the fa to change the rules once our hard back 4 retired else it just wouldn't have been fair would it?! ;)

Phew! Barca are awesome! Totally playing us off the park - especially in the first half hour. They should be about 6-0 up - thank goodness almunia is having a good game. Have to hope it lasts... Doubt it will... :-(

Annoyed about the fabregas booking - it was obvious he got the ball.

You mean apart from the bit where he fouled him? First time I saw it I thought it looked dodgy, but seen the replays and he goes right through the back of him.

Gotta say fair enough to 'em. Barca absolutely dicked about with them for an hour, but if you don't take your chances, you leave yourselves open to that. Still reckon they'll walk it at the Nou Camp.
