No, but you can bet your bottom dollar that he starts the first game in the Euros despite what happened tonight.Worthy4England wrote:Anyone want Rooney back?

Roy Hodgson would kill for a centre half.
So promising when you look at the ages there.

Well that was rather fine. The Spurs boys were particularly good.
Roy, you can put a big red line through Walcott's name. Vardy's yer man. And have a word with Butland. If you're injured with a minute to go before half time you get the physio on whether it's a friendly or not.

Re: Tonight's Football
Barclay is a handy sized lad physically and more dangerous around the box than Rooney. Not slagging Rooney, he's had to carry cans for a while, but great to know we have such strength in depth. Sturridge and Wilshire on the bench too. Just a question, but where is Leighton Baines these days?Nicko58 wrote:No, but you can bet your bottom dollar that he starts the first game in the Euros despite what happened tonight.Worthy4England wrote:Anyone want Rooney back?

Currently second choice at Everton. He was so poor at the World Cup I'm not sure I'd want to see him selected.TANGODANCER wrote:where is Leighton Baines these days?

Best England performance I've seen in a long, long time, pressing, hungry and actually passing well.

Re: Tonight's Football
We do seem to have options, but Sturridge and Wilshere are sicknotes. They should need to force their way back in. Remember we managed one point in the last World Cup. Hardly a sign of greatness.

Spanish football is a joke.

And Sergio Ramos is a cretin. Has he ever finished a match?

I'm more interested in tomorrow's El Glossico between Barnsley and Oxford to be honest, mate.Prufrock wrote:Spanish football is a joke.

I saw it was on BBC live. Top telly. Unfortunately i was commited to watching an old re-run of Judge Judy on Yesterday÷1. Shame.
"The first qualifying goal scored against England in 13 years". Well it was a doozy.

Re: Tonight's Football
As we plunge into Division Three I can find a tiny bit of solace in seeing Newcastle continue to struggle . Villa, more or less gone now, I have few opinions about. They've teetered on the edge for seasons now and don't seem to be able to get anything right.
But "the Toon" are the gift which keeps giving. Really the only question is whether Sam can just about scrape Sunderland out of it. Benitez ... prick.

90mins and a hat trick later, they are through.Well, Real Madrid might have an imbalance in midfield, a nervy home crowd, and the weight of history upon them, but they do still have Cristiano Ronaldo. What a player this guy is. With a goal in Real’s 4-0 defeat of Eibar on Saturday, Ronaldo became the first player to score 30 goals in six straight seasons in La Liga – and he has 43 goals in 41 games this season. Astonishing. He’s also the Champions League’s top scorer this season with 13.
That feckin' Ronaldo is unreal at times.

Nice bit of arms and legs from Big Sam in the tunnel after the win at Norwich, squaring up to a couple of players who were having a go at his.
Oh how I miss him.
