Benitez .... prick

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

Life is not like a box of chocolates , it is infact , like a box of chuck norris roundhouse kicking you in the face. And if you recieve a box of chuck norris , you always know what your gonna get.

They are not all calling for Rafa's head by any stretch of the imagination.

They also did not burn an effigy of Steven Gerrard - one mongtard who wanted to get on SSN burnt a shirt because he was a mongtard and that's the sort of thing that mongtards do.

Let's be honest though blurred; how much longer has he realistically got?

Hopefully a long time - I don't see how you can possibly charge someone with the responsibility of restructuring the club from the ground up, from the youths to the ressies to the first team, and then fire them before they complete the job when to all intents and purposes they are succeeding on the pitch. Like Wenger (for instance) he won a big trophy very early on in his reign, but still had lots of work to do behind the scenes - it would have been farcical to get rid of Wenger because he didn't win anything for a couple of years thereafter. Like Wenger, he's got his side qualifying for the champions league every season (which wasn't guaranteed under Houllier), and he's actually performing better than any other English side in Europe.

Were fans calling for Wenger's head these past couple of seasons when they were behind Liverpool in the league and finishing 4th? No. They realised that he was working at building a side, and they are reaping the benefits this year. The success of Rafa's building behind the scenes is evident in that we're on course for a good showing in the youth cup (with more than a smattering of imported U18 players) having won it the past two seasons, and that we're top of the reserves league with pretty much an exclusively U21 side. He's setting the foundations, like Wenger, and should be allowed to see this through.

This tabloid hype and bullshit is designed solely to sell papers - do people actually think that chairmen do (or should) make decisions on the back of one game? Lose this and you're out? They'd be the most short-sighted idiots known to man if that were the case. The one saving grace about having the yanks in charge is that they won't get to see wall-to-wall coverage of this tripe and start getting itchy trigger fingers. Rafa still has the backing of the fans in the overwhelming majority.

I won't even get on to the weight of expectation, which borders on the ridiculous.

Possibly so. It wouldn't stop it being a ridiculous decision, though.

Watching the v Inter Milan thing.

Torres is a class striker........ He's also a cheat. He got Matteratzi sent off for two challenges that wouldn't have put a ten year-old down. Gone down like a kid's sandcastle on a couple of more, one in the area. Hope he gets carded and sent off to level the score.

Inter Milan.

Inter will win, a fine team. Cheated by a biased referee.

Liverpool were lucky, they totally lacked any cutting edge at all till Crouch came on which gave them a bit more drive, against 10 men for 2/3rds of the game they were very lucky with that result.
How comr Torres is listed a striker Gerrard was futher foreward than him most of last nights game Torres didnt look like he wanted to be there at all.

Not sure that's exactly true.....they did dominate most of the attacking. Either way I suspect they wont care. If you'd offered 'em 2-0 at home to a team that hasn't lost a game for 5 months, I'm sure they'd have taken it.
