Euro 2012

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

I think its a real shame that we haven't gone down the route of describing Seaman's best attributes, such as him being a good box filler, or how he made himself large and filled the huge Highbury goalmouth, or indeed his uncanny knack of nearly always stopping penetration dead in its tracks. Of the opposition that is, obviously, incase anyone's sniggering at the back.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Decent England performance. I think we'd have won more comfortably had Carroll played as they couldn't cope with crosses and quality delivery, especially their keeper. Rooney fluffed a couple of headers that Mandy Barrell would have scored I think.

Seaman comes bursting out and smothers the ball.

I remember hearing that, or very similar and tittering.

Thanks to the legend that is David Seaman in goal. 8)

Seems like only yesterday! How was it so long ago?

well - he saved one of them - Hierro hit the bar with the other with seaman going the wrong way
He was awesome throughout that tournament! Probably Englands best goalie in the last 20 years...
I know you are a gooner supporter but lets not get carried away with the Seamen rants. Sometimes you have to swallow your pride and accept reality.

With you there, I find his arrogance and big headedness as to how good he thinks he is, very annoying. So much that I could snap a cricket bat on his face.

Good English willow wouldn't snap. It might make a bit of a mess though...

Loving the Portuguese shirts. Something like that for the Superwhites would be great.

What....? This is a cracking game of football. Portugal doing everything but score, Meireles having a blinder in midfield, Cech making wonder saves. Got a funny feeling the CR will break and score..
