Well, 'Arry is definitely being held according to the Beeb. Along with the others except Mandaric, who is not mentioned.sluffy wrote:The Amdy Faye Transfer to Portsmouth ALLEGEDLY -

The beeb gives links to many other reports including Sky and Al Jazeera!sluffy wrote:enfieldwhite wrote:Nothing on Sky Sports, so far. Strange.![]()

Wasn't the raid to take his laptop and various pieces of evidence?Soldier_Of_The_White_Army wrote:That's what makes me laugh.BWFC_Insane wrote:Do the police normally carry out a dawn raid on your house, arrest you and release you on police bail if you are merely assisting them with an enquiry that does not directly relate to you?

Dunno. But seen as he's had like 18 months advanced warning that he may be at some point 'helping with the enquiries' I'd wager that his laptop has been at the bottom of the canal for about 17 months now.BWFC_Insane wrote:Wasn't the raid to take his laptop and various pieces of evidence?Soldier_Of_The_White_Army wrote:That's what makes me laugh.BWFC_Insane wrote:Do the police normally carry out a dawn raid on your house, arrest you and release you on police bail if you are merely assisting them with an enquiry that does not directly relate to you?

Although we take joy in other people's sorrows - especially others teams - the police action at 'Arry's 'Ouse seems a little much by Canadian standards. To raid a home when the suspect is known to be abroad at 6.00 am with a press photographer in tow would be considered OTT here. The crime is not international terrorism and it would be unnecessarily frightening to Mrs. 'Arry who is an innocent party one suspects.

I liked this juxtaposition on the BBC's roundup:officer_dibble wrote:apparantley its stopped redknapp getting the england job
that and being really crap of course
F365's excellent mediawatch was quite redknapp themed today, i never knew he had shevchenko on trial yet knocked him back
Aye, it's the arrest, Harry, not that fact that you've arguably achieved less than the last incumbent...The Football Association has virtually ruled out an Englishman as a successor to England coach Steve McClaren after delivering its initial report. Chief executive Brian Barwick wants a 'world class' manager. (various)
Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp believes his arrest over corruption claims on Wednesday has ruined his chances. (various)
